Covid-19 PCR testing requirements have now changed for international arrivals coming into the UK. From 15th February 2021 all international arrivals are required to self-isolate for 10 days upon return/entry into the UK and to take a PCR test on days 2 and 8 of quarantine to meet government requirements. This test involves a nasal swab that will detect for Covid-19 SARS-CoV-2. Results can be expected within 24-28 hours after arrival at the laboratory and will be emailed to you in certificate format.
*Day 2 and 8 test packages must be ordered prior to travelling or leaving the UK. If you are already abroad and require day 2 and 8 test please allow 7 days before arriving in the UK when booking, to give sufficient time for order and postal processing.
Upon booking your day 2 and 8 test kit you will be issued a unique reference code - you must input this code into your passenger locator form.
Each individual will receive 2 testing kits one test kit for Day 2 and another for Day 8. Each kit will be marked with 'Day 2' or 'Day 8', it is important that the correct test is taken on the marked day to avoid complications at the laboratory. Please follow the instructions within the testing kit carefully.
As soon as each test is completed, you must follow the postal instructions within the kit to send your sample to the laboratory.
Your Day 2 and 8 testing kits will be sent to you via Royal Mail 48 hours tracked.
